According to the Ukrainian Air Force, warnings of incoming ballistic missiles were issued twice before the strike, around 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. local time, prompting the declaration of an air raid alarm in Kyiv. Multiple explosions were reported in the city shortly thereafter.
At 2:47 a.m., Timur Tkachenko, Head of Kyiv's Military Administration, confirmed that one person had been injured in the Darnytskyi district due to the attack. The district also experienced multiple fires, including a fire near a residential building, a service station, and a non-residential structure.
The air raid warning was lifted at 3:11 a.m., and by 3:14 a.m., the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the cessation of the ballistic missile threat. However, another air raid alarm was declared at 5:10 a.m. and canceled six minutes later. The number of injured rose to two as reported by Tkachenko at 5:26 a.m.
"A fire near a residential building and several other sites are burning in the Darnytskyi district; casualty figures are being updated," stated Kyiv's military administrator.
