Simultaneously, the southern Holosiivskyi district experienced a fire in a non-residential area. Emergency services responded promptly to contain the damage. These incidents mark the second such strike on Kyiv within a week, following an earlier missile attack on August 11 that caused fires in warehouse facilities in the Shevchenkivskyi district and reportedly hit a children’s hospital, leading to injuries.
Meanwhile, in Kryvyi Rih, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head, Oleksandr Hanzha, stated that Russian forces targeted industrial facilities using both ballistic missiles and armed drones. The strike resulted in one fatality and at least six injuries. Medical assistance is being provided to the victims.
"The attacks targeted not only urban centers but also critical industrial infrastructure, underscoring the strategic intent behind these strikes," said a defense analyst familiar with the situation.
